Teen Vogue Fashion University 2015

I have spent the past few days at Teen Vogue's Fashion University in New York City. And what can I say... IT HAS BEEN AMAZING! I, along with 550 other young people aspiring for a career is fashion, was able to spend three days in one of my favorite places and meet some amazing people while receiving tons of great advice about a future in the fashion world.
Take a look at my adventure below...

The main part of the event was on saturday, the day started bright and early with check in at the World Trade Center building (Teen Vogue's new headquarters). I was enrolled for the Editorial/PR/Social major, so my first speaker of the day was beauty vlogger and entrepreneur Michelle Phan, who turned out to be very inspirational! The seminar was led by none other than Teen Vogue's editor and chief Amy Astley. Afterwards, I listen to Claiborne Swanson Frank, a stylist and photographer who was my favorite speaker of the entire conference. I aspire to have a career similar to hers, living somewhere inbetween the worlds of photography and fashion with tons of room for exploration and creation. The afternoon consisted of two different panels, it began with four Teen Vogue editors who gave great advice on launching our careers and things that will help us to succeed. Then there was the blogger panel, where all my fan girl dreams came true when I got to meet two of my favorite bloggers, Natalie and Dylana Suarez. Life goal complete! The last speaker of the day was Hannah Bronfman: a DJ, model and entrepreneur, who is working to create a bridge between fitness and fashion. It was a long, long day especially because I was only running on four hours of sleep, but a day that I wouldn't change for the world.
My last seminar of the conference this morning was led by Erika Bearman, Oscar de la Renta's PR girl, she was funny and a really great presenter.
This conference has motivated me to really get myself out there, I want to start looking for internships and other ways to get my foot into the door of the fashion world. I am going to work really hard to find a path that is right for me while achieving my dreams!
